Consistent Prayers

It is the last day of an amazing yet, challenging year. My challenges changed me for the better as the power of Christ was made manifest in my weakness. First, we lost our unborn child, then my beloved dad went ahead to the other side of heaven. I know because of my hope in Christ that I will see them in eternity. The most important thing that happened to me this year was my baptism with The Holy Spirit. February 15th, 2015 is when the power of Christ living inside of me was activated. God opened the eyes of my heart and shown me the riches of His glory which is part of my inheritance as a citizen of his Kingdom. The lack of knowledge of my inheritance blessings made available by Christ Jesus was slowly killing before this baptism. The Word came alive to me in a way that only The Holy Spirit could discern. This was no ordinary baby born two thousand years ago. The reason the world celebrates His Virgin birth proves His supernatural deity. God took a human form in Christ Jesus. God is Spirit and needed flesh to walk the earth. "The Word Became Flesh." “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NKJV Have you ever wondered why it took God four thousand years to send His Son? This section contains a lot of wisdom on marriage. It was written on August 8th 2010 right from his desk as a marriage counsellor. One of the jobs he did as a Mayor of his town(Bamenda), Cameroon.  At that time, I was going through a very rough time in my marriage. I had called and told him I could not take it any longer. Njuamboh finally gets to ride the bus to school. And this too came to pass. I don't know about you but this summer for my family was one of a kind. Everything happened to fast and I was that parent doing the last minute back to school shopping. My daughter looked forward to school with all excitement. I was excited for her but as usual all the craziness of the world crept in. I started to worry about the friends she will make, their background, their values, her teachers, safety, stereotypes etc. Yes, my brain (my natural self) can take me to places that are not pleasing. I don't know about you but, growing up death brought about a lot of darkness. The fear of the unknown mystery of life was scary. Death is painful to many people. Losing someone suddenly is sad. Lots of emotions and memories to deal with. Losing a young person make things even more frustrating to many. Why did this happen? Does God really exist/care? If there is a God why should he do such a thing? What is life all about? You might have asked yourself these questions or, are dealing with them right now. The truth is, there is no death in Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. Dear friend, I'm writing to encourage you about your marriage. I don't know exactly what you are going through. What I know is you are hurting and thinking of a solution. You got married to your spouse and had lots of expectations that are not realistic. You must have asked yourself this question, how did I end up with this person? I was awaken at 2a.m and this is what the Holy Spirit is saying to all the broken hearted. We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19 NIV) I don't know what you are going through right now but, be reminded that our Heavenly Father loves you. His love for you is more than you can ever know. We love because he first loved us. And, all love comes from him.- 1 John 4:7 Let God be true and every man a liar(Romans 3:4). His word is always true so hold it and hide(plant) it in your heart. The word of God gives life which is why we hold on tight to it.  “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. If you read my blog you most have read about our recent miscarriage. It was the most painful experience in our lives. Yet God turned this attack from the enemy to our good. Every woman of child bearing age should read this. Most people today believe that God causes miscarriage. Or as medicine says; they happen due to gene malformation.  If we fully understand the God of creation, he does not make mistakes. He is a perfect God. I used to believe in all these lies until two months ago. God revealed to me how compassionate of a God he is. He opened my eyes to his word and his loving nature. I became a nurse because I knew as a foreigner I will be guaranteed a job. It was not what God had planned for me. I did not seek his will. Yet, it was a popular field amongst those I met when I first travelled abroad.  ( you are the choices you make) You see, I made a choice to be a nurse out of my will. I loved working as a nurse but I don't miss working the night shifts.  May all the night shifters be blessed as you show your patients the love Christ has for them. I made a decision to stop working nights because it did not work for my family. Talk about stress :)! I had to quit after our second baby. This was our choice to reduce stress and safe our marriage. Most people do not realize we are the choices we make. God has given us the free will to have control over our life. He can't force us to obey them. Our choices will not only affect us but others. I don't know about you but it hurts to be humiliated publicly. You just want to melt away and not be the victim or wish it never happened to you. ( I will not allow the enemy of this world to grief my soul. My spirit has been made perfect in Christ). Yes, I was anxious and hurt so bad I wanted to scream. Yet, I knew it was not the best way to handle the situation. There were more than 200 people seating and waiting to board the plane. When all of a sudden the lady at the counter said, " zone 2 and 3 and families with kids could now board."  That was us, our tickets said zone 3 and we had 2 kids. We headed to check in only to hear; " oh no it does not imply to you, just wait for your turn." In my head  I'm thinking, you just said we could be in line. This lady had us stand there and all zones got in but us. We usually always wait to get in last anyways, but why did she have to humiliate us. We paid for four tickets. For a moment I ...

Love is not a feeling but an action. The whole world is seeking and searching for love and to be loved. The love everyone is searching for can be found only in Christ Jesus. God is love. Why do people not get this? In my opinion, I strongly believe it is due to unbelieving hearts that have rejected God and a lack of knowledge. Listen to what prophet Hosea says;  my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. (Hosea 4:6 NIV) The good news about this passage is, it was written before the death of Christ on the cross. Which means God has not rejected us. We reject him when we go our own way. Rejecting The atonement of the sacrificial lamb of God (Jesus Christ), is what will take you to hell. The chosen children of God had turned from their God. It was observation day at my girls ballet class and all I could think of is how does she get all these girls to listen. She must love to work with kids plus they are cute together when they finally get it. Most of the girls listened and danced to the music, others just went their own way which made it more fun to watch. It was very beautiful to see how much they had learned in the past months. ( Love is patient, discipline takes patience, patience is an action) All I'm thinking is why can't they just listen more to me at home. I want them to listen to me and teach them to be nice to their teachers. But for me to listen to them takes a lot of patience on my part. Maybe because I have to say one thing like a hundred times before they get it.  Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die. In one of my classes we were asked to explain how we deal with stress. I wrote a little of what works for me and got a good response from others. I hope this encourages you. I could expand on this but will do later. Stress in life is unavoidable, how we deal with it is what matters. Be encouraged to know that Christ bore all our suffering already. Nothing is new to him who was pierced for our transgressions, a punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.  Christ knows all about your stress and wants you well. He does not bring about stress on us. Our savior is a loving and healing Father. He healed us already on the cross 2000 years ago. We just need to start believing and claim our healing readily available in Christ. If you are a believer, hold on to the word that heals. Take all your anxiety to the Lord in daily meditation. It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, (Psalm 92:1-2 NIV) As I reflect on my life today one thing stands out, the joy of knowing my savior Jesus Christ. He gives me peace and is  source of  my true happiness. On this special day my heart overflows with thankfulness. And because I'm happy, I will sing Praise. ( life begins at conception and has a soul) I've always wanted a big family with many kids. In my world, the more kids :), the merrier. Having to go through a second miscarriage is what you don't wish for. Your life changes in an instant. This time around, there was a message in this. Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. (Isaiah 55:6 NIV) As I cried in agony, having contractions every one minute lasting for 2 minutes for about 7 hours, I prayed for mercy. The stabbing and burning  pain gave me a glance of what hell will look like for those who are perishing. Those who have rejected the message of salvation. I thanked God for grace and for sending his only son to die so I can be free from this eternal punishment. The grace of God does not abound in hell. Which is the reason of his saving grace on earth. For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness an...

Most people in the world today are lonely. The feeling of abandonment is a disease killing many souls. It brings about isolation which is unhealthy. Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. (Proverbs 18:1 ESV) Even believers in Christ sometimes have this disease. It cripples the soul and is part of the devils scheme to bring about frustration and fear. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 NIV) In my many trials in life, one thing I've learned is, I'm never alone. No matter how tough and difficult a situation may seem, my savior is standing right next to me. Yes, he is. If he lives in me in spirit form "The Holy Spirit", it means everywhere I step my foot I have him there. This means I often times make him suffer for my mistakes. Happy New Year 2015!! The start of each year is always a time of celebration around the world. The happiness on the faces of people is what most people want for a lifetime. People hoping for a better future full of success and prosperity, good heathy and happier days. Yet, one is lucky to stay happy for just a month. Life often happens and most are left to wonder what the year holds for them.
