STRESS!!

In one of my classes we were asked to explain how we deal with stress. I wrote a little of what works for me and got a good response from others. I hope this encourages you. I could expand on this but will do later.

Stress in life is unavoidable, how we deal with it is what matters. Be encouraged to know that Christ bore all our suffering already. Nothing is new to him who was pierced for our transgressions, a punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Christ knows all about your stress and wants you well. He does not bring about stress on us. Our savior is a loving and healing Father. He healed us already on the cross 2000 years ago. We just need to start believing and claim our healing readily available in Christ.
If you are a believer, hold on to the word that heals. Take all your anxiety to the Lord in daily meditation. He will direct you on how to manage stress.
Stress is a disease brought about by the deceiver whose only mission is to kill, to steal and to destroy.
Anxiety brings about stress which is why the word of God says we should bring all of our anxiety to him for he cares for us. I mean all not some, do not hold on to any. Why carry it when The Lord wants us to bring them to him.
God wants you well and without stress. Be quick to forgive and let go of past hurts that bring about stress.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NIV)

I had to stop working because it brought a lot of stress to my family. Sometimes, managing stress will mean letting go some things.
Be open to changes in life, What worked for a season may not work for another season, but bring about stress.
We are the choices we make in life and thus should choose wisely.
Contentment and not always wanting more will help reduce the pressure of the culture brings on you. The desire of always wanting more is the devils trick to add on your stress of working longer hours with little or no sleep. This keeps you away from family and breaks up relationships only adding on your stress.
Do not be selfish to yourself by not taking an alone time to re energize daily. Stop and take a breath in quiet times in the mist of the craziness of life.
Anxiety equals stress and stress can lead to death. Death is not of God but of the devil. Christ conquered death on the cross.
" I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
