Our Kids Are Not Stress

Ever since I became a mother I've made it a habit of talking to other mothers. I talk to strangers about their kids. I know mothers in this country are more stressed compared to other countries. I'm in it and know the feeling. I know what it means to have little or no sleep at night and still have to be awake during the day. The feeling of thinking you are the only mother with kids acting up and scared to take them out.  The fear of loosing your mind because they don't listen or obey you.  The thought of you are not a good enough mother to your kids due to pressure from other mothers. You are not alone in this season. You are okay as long as you remain the boss to your kids. Constant discipline and lots of prayers will one day pay off. What helps me most is starting my day with prayers. Praying for a good attitude towards my kids despite thier crying and nagging. Asking God for strength each day is all we need as mothers. I look at kids as a blessing and not stress. They ne...

We Need Each Other

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. (Ecclesiastes 4:9 ESV) Have you ever wondered why this passage is included in the Bible? Maybe you have heard it read at weddings or, someone mentioned it to you or, you have read it from your personal bible. Two people working hand in hand respecting and appreciating each other will have a better return. Adding God into this bond makes it even stronger " a cord of three strands can't be easily broken". Ecclesiastes 4:12 Accepting our total reliance on God for strength helps us work better with each other. Acknowledging we need each other can be very humbling. Realizing "we" is a stronger word than "I" is powerful. It's just like our body parts working well when in good health. We know the importance of a healthy leg when we have a fracture. Talk to someone who lost a loving spouse and you will hear them tell you more. The question is, how do we accept we need each other? Our ...

How God gave me a new sight

Two years ago my husband and I went through an eye opening spiritual storm. It was made clear to us that those we had called friends where in a cult. We had no idea about this until Christ Jesus revealed to us all what was in the dark.  Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. (1 Corinthians 4:5 NIV) We had friends that had gotten so close to us and almost was like family. We dined and had lots of functions together because all we could see was their outside.  We had no reason to be judgemental or question thier friendship until God's appointed time.  What  got us frustrated was, they tried to get us involved blindly. Praise be to God in heaven for always watching over his children. These friends convinced us to use thier vacation package they did not need anymore. It sounded so true and...

Thank you for stopping by!

Thank you is what we all try to teach our kids to say in appreciation of something. It still does not come naturally to many people because humans are hard to please. We get hurt when we don't get a thank you for something we did. We sometimes just need to be appreciated as an encouragement to keep up with the good work. Others, become enslaved to people because of what was done to them. People need us to return a favor that was done. We become yoked to each other because thank you is not enough anymore. I'm not saying you should not help a neighbor if you can. What I'm saying is, do not expect anything in return.  What I've learned over the years is you can't please humans. " Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ." (Galatians 1:10 NIV) No matter how hard you try someone will complain. Someone people wil...
