Consistent Prayers

The outside picture never really portrays the entire story. It can surely paint an eye catching picture. What we see physically may be deceiving and hides the joy/pain going on in the inside. Looks can be very deceiving and never should you draw conclusions about the inside by what you see. Wait until they open their mouth then, will you know the condition of their heart. Out of the heart flows the issues of life. When we look at Instagram today, we see beautiful pictures of the current outside state of people. What most people don't think about, is what is really happening in the inside. Someone told me the other day that we are a good looking couple. Another said, there is something about us when we walk into a room. Words!!!!! Little did they know these statements will take me back to about six years down memory lane; when our walls almost came crumbling down. (we have to be intentional about making our home secure and free of strife. Children watch our actions. They become who they see. Strongholds at home start building walls in kids that will affect their relationships in the future). I remember very well this  Sunday morning in the spring of 2010 in South Bend, Indiana. My heart is overflowing with a good theme; my tongue is a pen of a ready writer! Today I choose joy over sadness! I choose blessing over curses, hurt, past pain and betrayal! I choose to stand on the promises of God rather than what society tries to throw at me. I choose to look at myself the way God sees me rather than through the lens of critics stock in my past; critics who think they know a lot about me but really are stock in their own brokenness that need invasive heart surgery by the word of God. The old me(my past)is dead and buried and this lady you see today has been made New in Christ. I have been redeemed, restored and the righteouness of God in Christ.
