We Need Each Other

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. (Ecclesiastes 4:9 ESV)

Have you ever wondered why this passage is included in the Bible? Maybe you have heard it read at weddings or, someone mentioned it to you or, you have read it from your personal bible.

Two people working hand in hand respecting and appreciating each other will have a better return.

Adding God into this bond makes it even stronger " a cord of three strands can't be easily broken". Ecclesiastes 4:12

Accepting our total reliance on God for strength helps us work better with each other.

Acknowledging we need each other can be very humbling. Realizing "we" is a stronger word than "I" is powerful.

It's just like our body parts working well when in good health. We know the importance of a healthy leg when we have a fracture.

Talk to someone who lost a loving spouse and you will hear them tell you more.

The question is, how do we accept we need each other?

Our society is all about credentials which is good but can be very detrimental to its own. We have lost sight of the fact that we are all gifted differently.

For a better understanding of our different gifts read: Romans 12:6-81 Corinthians 12:8-1028-30, and Ephesians 4:11

Most people gain respect only when they have a title behind their names. Others want to know who you are or who's child are you. All because your voice can't be heard if you are a nobody!

We are all important created in the image of God and gifted differently to work together. Accepting we are handicap to others allowing them to use their gifts and talent for our common good should be ok.

Others take it upon them self to disrespect people because they are not up to an imaginary standard. You know what I'm talking about.

Respect for oneself and others is a virus killing our community, which is the reason  we find it difficult to work with others.

We need each other's talent to build a tomorrow putting God first.

In health care for example, we nurses know the janitors importance if he does come to work. This sanitation engineer plays a vital role in any health care system. The entire hospital can shot down if not well sanitized.

We need to respect this person despite his dirty job keeping the hospital clean. We need him!

In our society, such people are looked down on and usually feel out of place. We need to be more accepting of others.

When are we going to realize this killer virus and start taking medications to eradicate it?

Slaves(employee), obey your earthly masters( employers) with  respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him. (Ephesians 6:5-9 NIV)

It starts now by accepting our different talents and gifts. Knowing that our different talents can bring a balance to our community is a huge step.

Contentment and respect for each other and knowing a plumber is much of a human being as doctor.

Rich and poor have this in common: The Lord is the Maker of them all. (Proverbs 22:2 NIV)

We are masters of our own trades. We need each others expertise for a better functioning society.
