Happy Birthday to my Proverb 31 Mother!


Mamie! As we all call you but, answer "yes mommy when you call us". Happy 57th Birthday! My prayer for you today is; 

"May the almighty God continue to make you the woman you truely are. Mother to so many children even, when all your kids are grown and out. May God give you the strength you need each day and the wisdom you need to lead those under your care. May you be blessed with many more years so that you can enjoy the fruits you toiled for. I wish you so much laughter for it is good for your soul. May you be blessed abundantly for you are such a blessings. I pray for divine protection over you each and may your cup be full all the days of your life. Happy birthday Mamie!!"

I can write a book if I need to talk about you mom. But I will say it all in a few sentences. I love you and can't thank God enough for you. You are the best mother I could ask for from God! You are truely the proverb 31 woman. We've gone through a lot as a family and I've learned to be a woman because of you. You were hard on us and very straight with your words. I hated it then but very much appreciate it now that I'm a mother myself. I now understand a lot things walking in the shoes of a mom. I don't know how you did all what you did for us if it's not with God's help.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” (Proverbs 31:28, 29 NIV)

I am blessed to call you my mother, and yes God gave me you !!

How I met Prince Charming!

Everyone has a story of how they met their Prince Charming. Yours maybe be more exciting than others. Or maybe, more awkward than others. Well, let me give you a chance to make the judgment in my situation. January 2007 was when it all started in South Bend Indiana. For those of you who don't know, January is the coldest, snowiest month of the year with icy roads. As the weather forecaster always says, "if you have no reason to be outside, stay indoors." A Mother's Bond

The connection we have with our children  is very powerful. The bond can not be broken. It is a love like no other. A love that speaks from the heart with a very powerful intuition. God made us carry them in our bodies for almost 10 months. This pregnancy process is a bonding mystery. Feeling the baby move and it can actually respond when you talk to them. I remember my babies giving me kicks of assurance when I asked if they are ok in there. What a magical feeling it is. The bonding continuous as we hear the first cry that pierces our hearts, nursing them, waking up at night and going through days with very limited sleep. Stirring at them to see if we'll see a body part actuall grow instantly. All the smiles and crying only builds up a stronger bond etc. We get soo attached to them that even leaving them home with our husbands is scary.
